Technically speaking, each photo on canvas we make is a giclée print, rated to last 50+ years when cared for properly. Since our company helped shape the entire giclée industry, we know our stuff! (Read more about our company here)
Our printmaking process starts even before we buy materials. First, we make sure we have the best staff in the industry, a team that is truly a part of our family. Many of our employees have been with us for over a decade, and their skill and experience is unmatched.
Each raw material we buy, from ink to canvas to stretcher bars, is meticulously screened and scientifically tested to ensure its quality. High quality prints don't just appear by combining good materials, and the process is far more complex and subtle than simply hitting the print button. Each material must work synergistically, like a team. Over our two decade history, we've mastered the ability to pair our canvas with the exact right inks by studying the chemical interactions at a microscopic level.
After the photo on canvas is printed, we coat it with a UV protective layer designed specifically for our canvas and ink. This coating ensures the longevity of the print by protecting the ink from scratches and sunlight.
Each print is processed in a humidity, temperature controlled environment. Our stretching process is not the "quick and dirty" staple stretching method that most printmakers use. Instead, we spline stretch each print, a technique that creates a far cleaner piece with a slick, finished back. We don't want any part of our canvas to look sloppy, even the back!
Prints are shipped via FedEx in specially designed packaging that has been stress-tested multiple times to prevent damage in transit. Normally, we ship photos on canvas in just 2-4 days, no matter how big or small your order is.
We're very proud of our canvas prints. We've invested millions of dollars in our highly trained staff, optimized materials, specialized machinery, and custom software, all to deliver to you the best product at the lowest price. We aren't just talk, we stand behind our claims of quality and price, let us prove it to you!
